Day 8

Saturday 8/30/08
Big Fork

Time Traveled: 40 mins
Distance: 5 miles

Food Eaten: Oatmeal to the 5th Power, mixed berry muffin, coffee w/honey, kombucha (asian pear & ginger), gingersnap sandwich, big veggie dinner w/ onion, zucchini, pepper, potatoes, beans, veggie dog, olive oil and egg

It was decided to stay 2 nights in Big Fork. We spent the day riding around town and I found a Kombucha Wonderdrink at a gourmet food shop. It was so delicious and it went fantastic with the ginger cookie sandwich I ate with it.

On our way back from the grocery store, we met a couple that looked like they met in a gym. After we showered and while our laundry was hanging from the trees to dry, another cyclist who was pedaling the Great Parks Tour. He stayed at our camp for over an hour chatting with us.

Labor Day weekend brought lots of people to the campground. The showers were nice and well needed, but we wanted to get back on the road. On our way to Big Fork, we stopped at a family farm and bought lots of veggies. Tonight we were able to use those veggies in a delicious campfire meal.
